thats why i uninstalled locale after about a day. its easier to just silence the phone when i get to work and know its silenced
So, I have locale set up to mute my ringtone at work, using the cell tower triangulation, and 99% of the day it works, but sometimes it resets and goes to my default setting. I know this, and it's fine..
But one of the rare occasions when it had the ring tone, someone called me, and my coworkers got to listen to my wonderfully inappropriate(and chosen for ironic purposes) ringtone "Sugarlumps" by Flight of the Conchords.
Lyrics to this lovely song:
I see you girls checkin' out my trunks
I see you girls checkin' out the front of my trunks
I see you girls checkin' out my junk, then checkin' out my rump, then back to my sugarlumps
When I shake it, I shake it all up
You probably think that my pants have the mumps
It's just my sugarlumps bump ba bump
They look so good, that's why I keep 'em in the front
All the ladies checkin' out my sugarlumps
The drive the ladies crazy
All these bitches checkin' out my britches
Put 'em in a trance when I wear track pants
My dungarees make them hun-ga-ree
They're over the moon when I don pantaloons
and it goes on...
Luckily I was able to silence the phone after the first couple of lines, but man was that embarrassing.

i fail to see why you would want to silence this ringtone.

Lucky. I need to see them when they come to philly...however I think that might have already passed now.![]()
Hi Tokyo,
It is for this very same reason that I developed my Android application called "Wiggle". I am a big Locale fan, but I have problems with it whenever I am indoors or whenever I lose my GPS satellite signal (80%of the time). Wiggle lets you set phone setting profiles according to the Wireless networks in range, this turns out to be great when you are at school, at work, or at any other place that requires pin-point accuracy. If you want to know more about Wiggle I posted a brief description about the program in the following thread:
http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f...ication-13450/
Check it out and please email me if you have any suggestions or if you encounter any bugs.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Alex
I ahve that same problem...but very rarely as well.
No WiFi signal at work though so Wiggle wouldn't work for this case scenario
