My favorites and most used are:

UpVise (personal version): The RSS reader is wicked fast and well designed and the notepad automatic sync with the cloud so that I can access notes made on my G1 from any computer at all is excellent.

Twidroid -- this Twitter.com client started out well-intentioned but a little rough. The latest upgrades have made it into a really good application that is well-designed and easy to use.

After these two I would say (in order): the browser (it is growing on me), the phone, and Google Maps.

ToggleSettings is used a lot.. its on my home screen. and imeem is a favorite.. and so is shazam..
Can't wait for togglebluetooth. i keep my bluetooth off always to conserve battery, so when i get a phone call i turn it on during the phonecall and it sucks to go through all the menu. my g1 is slow from too many apps.. and until there is a service/task killer, im SOL..

toggle setting upgrade version has toggle bluetooth already. I think it came out about a week ago or so.

my most used app is toogle setting and ringdroid and spelldial and weather bug and anycut!!( I'm so used to anycut I didn't even know I'm using it everyday with the shortcut I made with anycut)

toggle settings, ring toggle, my bookmarks (it saved me from entering all my bookmarks from my cpu), weather bug (i tried accuweather and weather channel and i like this one the best), yellowbook, bubble, and finally for games i play pacman and solitaire the most.
