Just a little update, but i guess theyre going to release a facebook app video demo next week! I cant wait for that!

actually, just use the web browser and go to www.facebook.com, because the mobile version does not show all of the information. ex: It only grabs a few status updates to display.

I am using Babble on my Magic, it works fine with Statusupdates and comments. It also supports, although i have yet to try, uploading pictures.
it does everything i need and is so far the best facebook app (imho)

So is it out or not yet? Living in Thailand sucks cuz app store is not the same, doesnt have anything here.
Let me know if its out.
Hope it will be free
What IS the best Facebook App for the Droid Eris? I tried Bloo, and and Babbler Lite, Babbler Lite sucks because it wouldn't set up correctly and I had to keep allowing it permissions. Bloo was neat except the notifications wouldn't show up, and I couldn't even see my own profile - it said "You are not friends with this person and cannot access"
Facebook for Android is kinda similar to Facebook for iPhone, except the iPhone one is better. I wish FB for Android had the easy home button like iPhone. And it only shows random notifications and news feed posts. I'll get the first news feed post is something from a week ago, and the one "before" it is from 10 seconds ago...
Facebook might just be having issues right now so I'll give Bloo another shot because I really liked the pop up commenting and sharing feature.
Facebook is slowly gaining in the land of social media and searching (so is Twitter, but Twitter and Google have deals together). Google would love to have the amount of data that Facebook has, and on top of that Facebook is a multi-billion dollar company (based on estimation of course). Once you're over the billion dollar mark, you become competition for any other billion dollar+ company.
With Google pushing Buzz, anything that could rain on their parade is looked down upon. Also for awhile Google ignored Facebook, expecting the popularity to subside. Hence why MySpace was the first social networking app on the market, and only now is Google playing catch up with the Facebook app.
Especially more now than ever, Google is being beaten in the popularity rankings by Facebook of all people. So, Google will do everything in their power to stop Facebook from continuing to top the popularity of their search engine.
It'll be an interesting couple of years to see what happens.
As for best apps for Facebook -- the default app for facebook is the fastest/cleanest written. If you want to upload video though, I recommend Blabber. Blabber is too slow for normal usage however.
