Does anyone know if this is legit?
Just wanted to give a heads up to people waiting for a bug free remote pc application, that there is a web based VNC controller similar to logmein.com but much better implemented to work in our browser. It works quite well with the G1 browser and has a pop up window prompting you what action you wish to take e.g. right click, left click, etc. within the browser. In other words there is a legitimate way to control your pc instead of not being able to see the whole screen or wondering what you are clicking on. I found it to be pretty accurate as I had my host pc right beside me. There was a slight lag using EDGE but I bet with 3G it works even better. I couldn't get the AndroidVNC or logmein.com apps to work accurately with the G1, so this is nice for me. Also, it's freeAll you have to do is register.

I am going to give it a try tonight, my host PC.s are all turned off and I am away from them, I usually use logmein for this kind of thing but on the G1 its not great. This sounds pretty good if it works.
Thanks for the heads up
TT
yea logmein was terrible on the G1 for me. I gave up but then came across this on a windows mobile site last night. seems to work much better. be interesting to see if others had similar success since it was really easy to setup and use. I wish I had 3G for this kind of thing
They are at maximum connections. They can't handle the traffic!
Wow that just must recently became such an issue. that note at the bottom wasnt there last night. I connected fine before.
I would much prefer a service that I can connect directly with. I don't like tunneling my VNC session through a relatively unknown 3rd party.
3g works great with web-remote.
Didn't work for me, but maybe their servers can't handle the traffic yet.
