I really need a video software like this. I hope VLC will fulfill my all requirements. Let me know from where i can download it.
I'm not sure why this app isn't more popular. The app allows your computer to convert and stream videos on your PC to your phone once you have it setup correctly. You either launch VLC and change the setting in View>add interface>Web interface, everytime you launch VLC. Or you can edit the .hosts file and change the main interface in preferences and you don't have to change it everytime you launch the program.
Now, I have a question about that, that I can't seem to figure out. I got it setup to work great over wifi. I then setup my server for VPN and can connect to it from my phone over mobile network. The app can not, for some reason, see and connect to the VLC server over the VPN. I'm starting to believe that the phone isn't actually using the VPN at all. I'm using a Nexus One with CM 7.0.3. Any ideas? Anyone have any version of VPN anything successfully working on their phones?

VLC is easy to get on the net, just Google it. It plays just about any filetype on any OS and is GPU accelerated on most. VLC stream & convert is on the Android market.
I found my issue with VPN. It is my VPN itself. It isn't connecting right. I haven't found a fix, I'm thinking its a firewall or something somewhere. However you can just port forward ports 8080 and 5554 if you're not worried about security.

I agree, it's awesome. I have VLC running and use VPN to connect to it.
Does anybody know how to play from another PC? I want to do the same thing I do with my Android tablet and phone but on a PC. Is there such program like VLC S&C but for Windows?
Well, it's kind of using a totally different system, but you could try Plex. You install the Plex Media Server on your server and the client on your PC. There is also an Android app that is about $5, but supposedly allows for server side transcoding. Never personally tried it, but a lot of people get it to work great.
