Default Visual voicemail app for T-Mobile users

From the myTouch page: http://www.t-mobilemytouch.com/get-started (click on the Data Service tab)

"Once you’ve got your phone up and running, download the free T-Mobile AppPackTM from the Android Market for Visual Voicemail, HotSpot, and more! Already a G1 customer? You can use the data service you currently have."

    Thanks!

Don't see it in the market yet, I assume they're launching it with the Magic (yes, I am going to continue to call it that).

What I am also not sure of is whether they are making it available for G1 as well. I don't see why they wouldn't, but who knows.

"Already a G1 customer? You can use the data service you currently have."

This tidbit is on their "Data Service" page for the Magic, so it could just be referring to the fact that you can switch from a G1 to a Magic and use the same data plan (which seems obvious anyway). But, it's also in the same paragraph about the app pack so I'm hoping it actually means the app pack will be available on the G1, and they just worded it funny.

I am waiting for my Google Voice invite so one way or another I'm getting my visual voicemail.

Yeah, I couldn't find it either. I don't think it has been released yet. After all, the myTouch is only just beginning the pre-order phase. I'm only seeing 3 apps under the developer "T-Mobile USA": Backup, My Account, and Hotspot.

But at least it's mentioned in writing. Maybe the "and more!" part means Sherpa.

I guess you guys are waiting for a specific program, however, there is a visual voicemail in the marcket already and it works flawlessly for me I love it. fast foward, rewind, pause, stop, close, delete, undelete. All the action I can think of off the top of my head all work without one single issue.

I'm guessing if T-Mobile is supporting visual voicemail, then it's possible that we won't need to worry about eating up anytime minutes when someone leaves a message. Correct me if I'm wrong, but currently call forwarding to third party apps eats up minutes (if you don't have myfaves?).

Hmmmmm.... I never thought about it before but you've got to be right about that. I for one don't think I spend all that much time listening to voicemails, but it's a good thing to be aware of.
