What formats does the video player support?

I have tried the search function, but I didn't find anything helpful. Sorry in advance if this has been answered already.

I know at one point I read it supported mpeg layer for .mp4

WMV I know for sure. I had some movies saved on my microSD and it plays the WMV files. Can not say the same for the AVI files.

just format your video the same as an ipod video or iphone

Hi Friends !!

I am just 2 weeks old in Android...
I wanted to explore the video playback functionality on Android emulator.
I understand that video player does not come in default Android package.
Can anyone please help me in installing a video player application on Android emulator.

Are you sure that it plays wmv files?
