Ok, so you might now be able to do it quite yet, but a team of developers are working hard to get a final product out (maybe September!) which will allow you to turn your android phone into a DLNA Media Server.
If you're not familiar with DLNA, the standard allows you to stream media content to other compatible electronic devices over wifi. The PS3 can do this with your video, music, and pictures from your PC.
Check out the link. There's a video that shows it working on a WM device, but the developers say it's working on Android already. can't wait for it to be released!

This would be great if Win Media Center wasnt so intergrated into my entertainment already....my ps3 sits in a corner collecting dust...i think ive played it twice since i got it 2 years ago lol.
DLNA built into Motorola Defy has a "phone to media server" function. Have not tried yet. Have tried streaming, works great.
