Is there an app that I can use to track my G/F just by calling her or texting her? I know that the technology exists but not sure if it exists in the andriod OS. being that im not much more than a shell scripter im pretty useless in atempting to take on this type of challange. I know about loopt and other apps that they have to approve you to be able to see them, But I want to do this blind. Just get a fixed ocation on someones SIM card and overlay it on Google maps? I know this forum is full of really intelligent developers. Can anyone develope an app for that? Or better yet one already exist that can pinpoint just by putting in someones phone number.. I would luv to pinch my girl in the wrong place at the wrong time. =)
And what happened to the Dyno App. I still can not DL that app. I have been waiting since it was one of the top apps first awarded by Google back when they had the contest prior to the G1 release. I really wanted that app.
Last but not lease, I have a rooted phone, running JF cupcake. So which app alows me to install a new app to my SD card and or migrate current apps to my SD card? I would have searched more but after reading about SPL i do not want to brick my phone. .. Tant should about covr it
thanks for any ideas and assistance..

Stalker! And I agree - give your GF some respect. If you suspect she's up to naughtiness behind your back then the relationship has serious trust issues and is doomed anyway. I didn't read most of the post of the thread... so sorry if I misunderstand the situation.
But - you did ask a fair question... so I'll answer it!
If your gf has an Android phone, then there are a bunch of apps on the market that you can install on HER phone. You can activate them by sending a text message, and it'll text/email you back the co-ordinates with Google map links, etc. I've used Phone Finder for this, and it works very well. I might point out that I have installed this on MY phone in case it gets stolen. Not to track my partner.
Another app I've used is LocService. This logs the cell tower based and GPS locations every 10 minutes and uploads them to a secured web page. You can log into your account on the webpage and view a log of the last 100 (or more?) locations logged in Google maps - very cool. If it doesn't have an internet connection, it'll store the locations and upload them all when it gets a signal back. The app is controlled entirely by the settings on the webiste. In fact, there are no settings screens on the app at all. This allows you to remotely adjust the app's settings - cool. You can also send the phone a text message to get an instant update in a reply.
Note, that if you send either of the above apps a text message, she WILL see it as normal! You do not see the texts that are sent back, however - so nothing in her Sent Items.
Finally, whether she has a G1 or not, there are a number of services around that you can pay for, that are meant for tracking your kids to keep them out of harms way. You could abuse one of these services and use it to track your gf. However, the services always send periodic text messages to the phone to inform the user they are being tracked, and can't be activated unless you have access to her phone. Also, these services only have cell-tower based location accuracy - so while usually accurate to a few streets, it could be a few KM off.
Abusing the above services to track your gf without her knowledge (i.e. authorising tracking of her phone without permission) will almost certainly be illegal.
