@Hakeem you need to change your HTML markup (<b>, <i>, etc.) to bb code instead.

Re: TOP 50 G1 Apps (20 MUST and 30 SHOULD Download apps) Top 5 widgets and Top 5 game
Unfortunately, I am having issues with the music player widget. No option for it in the widget menu. Kind of frusterating, because it is one of the cupcake perk I was really looking forward to. Nice write up though!
I wish i had backed up my applications before i hit factory restore.
At least im getting a new G1 from T-mobile.
Open the Market, go to my downloads and all downloads that you have had in the past should be available there. Unless you downloaded them outside of the Market, of course.
Re: TOP 50 G1 Apps (20 MUST and 30 SHOULD Download apps) Top 5 widgets and Top 5 game
Cool, good list.
Based on your list I checked out Handscent. It's at least as good if not better than Chomp. I changed, and think I'll stick with it. Thanks! I've had or have a bunch of the stuff in your list and would have to agree with your choices.
Can I add a couple of my favorites?
In addition to the great list above. I like these. (all free unless otherwise noted)
aTrackDog -- it'll maintain your list of apps. You can even save or email the list to yourself or someone else (in case you somehow lose track of what apps you have) It'll also check which apps need upgrading which is nice if you've installed any manually and they don't show up as "Installed". This is probably more useful for rooted folks.
Bar Control -- It's sort of like the Windows Quick Launch, it allows you to put your most commonly used apps in the status bar so they are quickly accessed, but not taking up desktop space.
Bonsai Blast - It's a fun game with around 75 levels and some free-for-all type game play. Nice graphics
BuzzOff - Do you ever turn your phone to silent or vibrate and then forget to turn your ringer back on? I used to go into meetings or restaurants or movies theaters and then forget when I left. With BuzzOff, you can set your phone to silent or vibrate and have it come back on after a period of time (20 minutes, 1hour, 4hours 43 minutes, etc...).
Flashlight - by Devesh Parekh. I believe this is one of or possibly the first flashlight on the market. It worked on RC30, it works on cupcake, it just works, very simple and functional
GPS Tracker - free app and free registration on a website. You start the program, it starts the GPS and starts sending updates to the website. You can later login and create a "track" from where you went. It'll show your route, your avg speed, your time, etc.... Also, if you lose your phone, you can send your phone a text message and the program will start so you can track your phone. (assuming it's GPS accessible).
GPS Speedo -- It's exactly what it says, a speedometer that works off of your GPS. It works. It'll also tell you your distance traveled, max speed and avg speed. Or you can figure out how far off your car's speedometer is. (they're almost all off some)
My Collection Free - This is sort of cool. Do you want to keep track of your CDs, DVDs, Books, whatever. This thing is a database that will keep track of all of that for you. And if you haven't thrown out your CD/DVD cases, you can scan the UPC/Barcode off of the package and it will enter all of the info in for you. I have all of my movies listed. I think there were about 4 that it didn't find, so I entered those manually.
Package Tracking - Just what it says, except that it'll track packages from almost any shipper you can imagine. I think it's got a list of 20 or 30 different shipping companies that it'll track.
Starcontact - It can replace your call-log, dialer, contacts front end. In Cupcake you can't make it default (well, maybe if you are root and know how). If you've got a really big list of contacts, using the standard contacts to scroll down through them can be a pain. StarContact lets you punch in their name using T9 style keypad and does a search algorithm on first and last names. It's really cool, try it.
StopTimer - by Bratag, same guy that brought us Snap Photo/Pro and Dock Launcher, it's a timer (with alarm) and a stopwatch. It works really well.
Wapedia - allows you to search Wikipedia, but it's faster than the browser or even their own app.
WifiScanner - lets you see what wifi your phone can see, the signal strength and encryption.
WikiNotes - great note app. Create notes that are links to other notes and/or just notes themselves.
For Root only
Wifi Helper - need to configure your wifi to connect to WPA-Enterprise (requires username and password)? Wifi Helper will build the text file for you and then you can merge the info from that text file with your wpa_supplicant.conf file. You'll probably only need it once though.
Wifi Tether for Root Users - this is very cool. You can tether your PC, laptop, another phone, whatever you have that's wifi capable using the 3G on your own phone. This app turns your phone into a HotSpot with open or WEP encryption. You can then connect other devices to your phone via wifi, and then those devices can use your 3G to access the web. Yep, it works really well. (This app is not in the market, I don't think) link to Wifi-Tether
