TOP 30 Useful G1 Apps and Top 5 Games

in MY opinion these are the MUST haves, so if you are a G1 rookie or not sure what apps to consider because you are scared it will mess up your phone, these have all been tested by ME. lol

Also if u wanna see the app market online u can go on www.cyrket.com on any computer/laptop to view the newest apps available or just simply check from ur phone. If u have any questions, just msg me.

Make sure to make Steel and Chomp Sms as ur default browser and sms app if you like them. Also to search for the apps just open the market and stat typing the name of the app and a search box will pop up.

1. Bartender ( tells u how to make 1000's of drinks urself, alot contributions from bartenders so I trust it lol)

2. Cinema - (MUCH better video player app than default video player)

3. Comeks - (picture editing program, can add cool effects)

4. Close Everything -(program that will close all background programs in case one or two of them seems to be draining ur battery by not being fully closed)

5. Local - (shows u ALL the restaurants in ur area, or a certain area based on what kind of food ur searching for. shows user reviews of the food and etc.)

6. Chomp sms (make this your default sms app, this is an sms app with a touchscreen keyboard and custom chat bubbles)

7. My Backup ( program to backup ur settings, msgs and stuff in case u wanna erase ur phone, u can load it all back asap like a on a sidekick)

8. Pf voicemail (visual voicemail app, lets u see voicemails and play them right from the phone)

9. Power Manager-( lets u set profiles to help u save battery power and turn on features based on if u plug ur phone in and etc)

10. Ringdroid-( lets u make ur own ringtones and use them on the phone)

11. Shazam -(lets u get song information by letting ur phone hear the song)

12. ScoreBoard -( sports app, lets u get score updates and stuff based on ur favorite teams)

13. ShopSavvy - lets u scan a barcode for an item and it shows u who has the lowest price in ur neighborhood or online

14. Sms Popup -( sms/mms will pop up on the screen when u receive it, iphone style.)

15. Snap Photo(paid version is better but you can get the free one too)- better photo app than the default camera app, it has more options, takes clearer pics and etc.

16. Stream Furious-(lets u stream music of any type, anywhere in the world. You'll never be without music)

17. Toggle Settings-(ultimate app to toggle all settings and stuff on the phone so u don't have to open separate menus to change settings)

18. Video Recorder -Video recording app

19. Voice Client -must download to hear sound from the video recorder app listed above. It runs automatic.

20. Voice Recorder -(lets u use ur phone as a voice recorder and I think u can record phone calls as well)

21. Walkie Talkie - (cool walkie talkie app for the G1, its pretty fast, u can add ur gmail friends only.)

22. Missed Call-(notification app that lets u set what color the light should blink if u miss a call or text, like the mood light for sidekicks)

23. Steel -( to me, Waaaaay better than the default web Browser, has a touchscreen keyboard, auto rotate, touch screen zoom and more. Make this your DEFAULT app)

24. Any Cut- (lets u create shortcuts on ur homescreen for webpages, certain programs, activiies and etc)

25. DgAway -( In case ur busy, at a meeting or something, u can set it to auto respond to texts, calls and stuff)

26. Ak Notepad-( best note pad app)

27. Meebo (multi support I'M client, it sucked t first but after the updates, it runs smooth and u can be logged on to all ur screen names at once.)

28. If u don't like meebo u can download Hi Aim and Hello Yahoo separately.

29. Fb- (facebook app, lets u upload pics right from ur phone, and get alerts on ur phone)

30. Myspace app -( I personally just go to myspace on the browser because this app aint to great but people love it)

31. Wertago- App that shows u the hot spots around ur town for the weekend. You can also comment on other peoples pictures and upload ur own for fun/to be social

32. Cupcake Lite - funny chat application where people get on and chat it up about various topics.

UPDATE*

33. LOCK 2.0 - its like the Iphone slide to unlock screen, you can add your own pics and all, its pretty cool. Of course you have to turn off your security pattern for it to work

34. Where- this APP IS THE S##T, has all the news, movies showtimes, weather, info and etc that you need all in one program, this is a MUST and its FREE for now.

35. Quick Search- you can search ANY site, just type what or who your searching for then you can select which site it searches, yahoo, google, myspae, facebook, its cool.

36. Quick Uninstall- tired of that SLOW uninstall reloading process through the default menu? this program helps you uninstall much faster than the default settings.

36. Wi-Fi Lock - For some reason your wifi cuts off when your phone sleeps, but with this program, it keeps your wifi active even while the phone is sleeping.

37. Picsay- another photo editing application, some people like comeks better, some people like this app better, you be the judge.

38. Bookmarker- one click program that lets you see all your bookmarks and click on them then it loads up in the browser

39. Photoslide- costs $1 but its pretty cool, lets you slide across the screen and view your pics, better than the default picture viewer apps

40. Text Easy- lets you select your recipents you want to text all at once.

The games not too good yet, but here are the best 5 for right now
