I would appreciate that. It's the deal breaker between the iPhone. Thanks.

I ask day one if it would have Telenav on the G1, although the sales rep said no. I knew that someone out their (andnav) would be working on something. Eventually Telenav will release an app for the G1, in time my friends.

AndNav is currently in the marketplace, but does not render the maps and is very buggy

And why does Andnav say "non-realtime" in the description? What good is that?

Just like the Iphone, I doubt the G1 will have turn by turn navigation. The GPS signal seems a little to weak for something that detailed.

Maybe with updates, etc it might improve the signal. But I don't think it will ever do much more than offer standard POI, gps type stuff.

So does AndNAV expect to be real-time turn-by-turn directions by the time it goes final? (such as Telenav)

To the poster above... There are tons of phones (especially from Verizon) that give excellent turn by turn directions. Its hard to believe that such a popular and higher end phone such as the G1 and iPhone would eventually not have turn-by-turn.

That doesn't make sense b/c the phone doesn't SEND out anything at all with respect to GPS. GPS is completely receive only. (This is coming from a military guy who knows a thing or two about radio silence.) My phone seems very accurate. It places my postion on the correct side of a building and in the correct lane, so I don't think accuracy is an issue.

accuracy is not the problem, you are right, its the signal strength that would have me worried.

a nice window mount would be neat to see as well
