'Shortens memory card life span"? Don't like the sound of that, how bad is it? Reading the description there, I guess you'd be advised to do weekly backups of your sd card.

Every time you read and write to the SD card is shortens it's life but even with lots of read writes it will take years before you need a new card. (unless it's a defective card)

So, how long has it been taking to get this thing started? I've sat for about 10 minutes with the screen on the whole time waiting for some confirmation, just see "Starting...(it can take a long time)".

Class 6, its a Transcend. Does it give you a confirmation, or are you good to go once the "Executing command" clears?

Hit get information.. in my experience the starting message does not go away on its own but "get information" will tell you if the swap was created. Be sure you set swapiness to 10 because if you dont your phone will slow to a halt pretty quickly!

Ah, got it, hit Get Information, I see I have a swappiness (that word makes me smile) of 10 with 32,760 kb available. Thanks for that.

Now that I know swappiness is set at 10 and 32MB I'm starting to get really temped to download and check it out myself. The one question I do have is, does the swap get created on the FAT32 partition of the SD Card or is there an option to create it on the ext2 partition (for those of you that have partitioned their SD Card)? The reason that I ask is that in my experience, if the swap is created on the FAT32 partition, then you will not be able to mount it when you plug it in to your computer.

Under settings you can set the location to default (fat32) or JFvMod (ext2)
