I hope so, although I remember that some T-mobile person said they worked with Google to make sure it was impossible for VoiP services to work on the G1, so it might have to be for other devices.

as open source as it is im sure VoIp will be very possible, weather you have to get it legit from the Android Market or put it there yourself from some repo online. I had Voip on my ipod touch back when i had it jail broken so that just shows how easy it will be.

Android on the iPhone? I dont think it will ever happen, not officially at least. Maybe through a jailbreak.
I think skype will be a no brainer to get to work on the phone. Since tmobile already has phones that switch to wi fi to save network space, they can[t completely lock it out. The quick fix to me would be to shut the phone antenea off and run over wifi for the skype and then turn back on later when out of wi fi.
