Welcome to AC and which app were you using?
I thought this was the coolest thing in the world. I hate being in Walmart and having to walk all over creation to find one of their scanners, only to find it isn't working. So I decided to test the App in a Walmart. I scanned 10 items. 7 were incorrect and only 3 were right. That made me wonder if I should trust the price this scanner app sows. I was in a Target store and tried the same test. In Target they were all correct. So I went to one more store to test again. I went to Walgreens and tested 10 items again. This time there were 6 wrong and 4 right. So I don't think I can trust the prices the scanner brings up. It's a great novelty, but if the prices it shows aren't correct, then it isn't as useful as it is novel.
Life is too short to waste time arguing - especially since I am never wrong. Well almost never.
You should also keep in mind that a lot of stores websites list different prices sometimes online.
I work in a Sears Appliance and Hardware store and there are a lot of times that you save a few bucks if you buy online. It's retails little gimmick to get more online buying from customers and support their "Buy online, pick up in store" features.
But yea, I've also seen that prices weren't always right when using Shop Savy
yup, there are multiple barcode scanning apps, should clarify which you are talking about.
either way, like I said, from working in retail myself. Prices can vary on the stores websites
Psst, guys... this is in the ShopSavvy forum.![]()
We recently got a Nikon 9000 in our studio. We've found that when scanning 6x6 film, the scanner does not get the entire image.
