Wait u can't just jump to cyan. I tired it a few weeks ago. Here's what ur going to do

Download this app "jf updater" then download jf rc 33 version 1.4, then when its done it'll let u know then u click on update now. This will do the flashing for u on its own, the phone will boot up shortly MAKE SURE U HAVE GOOD BATTERY CHARGE BEFORE DOING THIS OK. Then just go to ur home screen as normal. And ur going to need to flash the latest radio before u go to jf cupcake then to cyan

So do the first step first and then get back at me

What cyan rom is she on ? If you flash 3.4.6 or 3.6.5 , you should be alright . Then you can move up to a more recent build . But , if possible , flash the cyan recovery 1.4 first . If not , its ok , flash aster you update .

i really dont understand your instructions. and again where do i get jf rc 33 version 1.4? and is it a file that i have to rename "update" and "flash it" like the others?

place on root of sdcard. adb shell or terminal
then type
flash_image recovery /sdcard/cm-recovery-1.4.img

just download "jf updater" from the market and click on check for updates...it will give you a list of updates and choose rc33 then download and it will flash it for you
