I posted about an app like this requesting it be done but as it stands we can only see our p.c.'s from out Androids via app and a software installed on the computer.
Does anyone know of an app to enable a remote android device to be controlled from another? i.e. like remote desktop in windows environment. I think there will be a growing need for this, allowing users to login to their machines remotely.

There's an open source android VNC implementation, http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/
This lets you control your computer from your phone via VNC.
I am not sure about a server (so you can control your phone via your PC) but wouldn't it be incredibly pointless? The point of your phone is that you will always have it with you, you shouldn't need to be able to see it's screen on a PC :P
Lol in my post I said how my phone went off across the room while I was on my notebook and how convenient it would be if an Android like desktop popped up and allowed me to read and reply and access everything off my android from my computer via usb, wifi,or that colored tooth thing.
winmo has had this for some time. i used to use it on my tytn religiously.

Across the room? You wouldn't be able to answer a call with remote desktop server, why not pick the phone up? The point of remote desktop is to access something you don't physically have access to, you wouldn't remote desktop the computer next to you!
I just don't see why it would be useful unless you're incredibly lazy. Such an app would also require your network to always be on and would need to stop the phone from sleeping - in turn requiring more battery power.
