It seems like it cuts off the end of videos I have recorded, not sure why though.

if this can stream video, why can we not have skype and stream video in a conference call type way?

I assume because Skype chose not to incorporate it due to bandwidth, latency, and compression technology issues. Here's an idea -- why not ask them?
It is conceivable that the mention of Skype Lite could hint at a Skype Pro down the road. Either way, most people would naturally assume that a product labeled "lite" would be slimmed down in features. *shrugs*

I just assumed the lack of a front facing camera was the main obstacle in the video conferencing. And bandwidth. And probably the carriers feeling threatened by a free service that could threaten their money. And probably some other things also...
