    Default Problems syncing Yahoo e-mail

I recently got a Samsung Moment and am struggling to get my Yahoo e-mail on it. I know I could just use the browser, but I have two Yahoo accounts and would like to manage them both from my phone. I've managed to set up E-mail so I am notified when either account has a new message, and I can send outgoing messages. However, if I delete a message from my account on the phone, it doesn't get deleted in my actual Yahoo account. And when I read a message on my computer and then refresh my phone account, it doesn't show it as read.
I know on my previous, non-Android phone, it wasn't a problem to do these things.
    Am I doing something wrong?

There's a couple of options available. I found the default email client was not satisfactory and utilised Gmail. This worked sufficiently but I didn't klike the text only feel of the email messages. Now I use a combination of K-9 email client (free app) and Opera Mini browser (free app)...

No, you're not doing anything wrong. It's just how Yahoo Mail is set up. I believe its on a POP format, which would be the reason you're having these issues. IMAP format would allow you to have more control through the device, but I don't know if Yahoo allows IMAP. You may want to search and see if it is allowed.

I haven't been able to find any information on Yahoo about IMAP. I find POP really frustrating and useless.
I know my old (non Android) phone could do Yahoo much better, so I don't know if I can tinker to set up IMAP. If POP is the only option, I'm not staying with Yahoo. This is terrible!
