Just read about this a little while ago and downloaded from Market. this is a really slick app, although I did have to turn GPS on as the triangulation method of location determination isn't the best. I found a number of interesting things near my house I had no idea were there.

yeah the places app is nice.. downloaded it earlier since i gotta redo all my apps.. google has some good stuff coming out for android... keep ya eyes open
Looks like Google is about to make Yelp redundant.
It's a little scary that Google seems to want to be the sole source of data for everything.
I blame this man for most programming problems.
Not so sure about that, but at least Wolfram|Alpha is not.
It's a shame that Yelp et al didn't make clients for every platform (iPhone, Android, J2ME, etc) -- they probably could have prevented this.
