Default Phone Fusion Visual Voicemail Update

Figured the email I got would say more about the update than I could... so here's a copy/paste.

You are getting this email because you gave us your email address when you downloaded and registered Fusion Voicemail Plus for Android. If you want to unsubscribe, please click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of this email and we will remove you from our email update database. We hate SPAM as much as you and our only intention with these emails is to update you on the progress we are making with Fusion Voicemail Plus for Android. We do not share your email address with any 3rd parties. Period.

Developing the first and only true Visual Voicemail application for Android has been very exciting for us, and we take great pride in the application. Currently, we have our second update in the Android Market due in large part to the unbelievably positive feedback and efficiency of our ever growing user feedback group.
    Improvements include:-

    • Contact Integration – Improved implementation
    • Conditional Call Forwarding Activate and Deactivate from the phone by pressing a single button
    • Default set to auto download voicemails
    • Simplified access to Voicemail box to give you the ability to record a custom voicemail greeting and change other admin functions
    • A better Help section
    • An audio fix for the earpiece and volume control
    • An animated play icon to indicate when a message is being played

Please go back to the Android Market to install the latest version. You will NOT lose any of your voicemails when you upgrade.

Our team is dedicated to taking your feedback and turning it into action as you can see from the features we have implemented based on your suggestions! Please keep the feedback coming by emailing us at androidfeedback@phonefusion.com.

Please note we cannot fix the SMS issue. We hate it too. Email the Google Android Development team and ask them to include a way for us to switch it off and we will implement it into our code. We need a community of people to help us change their minds!!!
If you have any questions or problems, please visit http://support.phonefusion.com to take a look at our Knowledgebase for FAQs, submit a ticket or email our Support team directly at support@phonefusion.com.

In addition, we have launched our PhoneFusion blog, which lists up to date, key information about Fusion Voicemail Plus for Android and the rest of the PhoneFusion family of products. Visit http://blog.phonefusion.com to stay connected with us.

We will have lots of new and exciting additions to Fusion Voicemail Plus in the coming weeks. So stay tuned.

The update is nice. Fixed the bug with audio through the earpiece. And the enable/disable Fusion Voicemail option is nice... it automatically sends the status code to tmobile and changes your voicemail forwarding numbers to or from the ones needed to use Fusion.

    Overall, useful update.

my question is.... does this app require the data plan to constantly be able to download the voicemails that are uploaded to Phone Fusion's databases to be viewed on our phones?

Don't know for sure, but I don't know of any other way it could work.

Well, it may work over Wi-Fi... but that's not really a useful solution.

Voicemails are so compressed and relatively small that data useage is insignificant. What I'd be worried about (since I only have 400/mo) is that it send one or two annoying text messages with every voicemail.

How necessary is it for me to get a text message every time I get a voicemail? That's annoying.
