Wow, this is when feature creep is a good thing!
Just saw this on the Market, Open Home (paid edition) is now releasing icon packs. The paid version and Better cut are required to fully utilize the packs, but now you can easily edit every icon on your phone.

Wow, this is when feature creep is a good thing!
using open home now with bettercut and all the iphone 3g icons look SUPERB lined up on the home screen. BIG UPS to BetterAndroid - openhome is slowly becoming more and more excellent - now widgets and that's all we need.
^^^ yes. we need widgets! but the icon addition is pretty sweet... i wonder if they would let us make our own...
Home runs with quite a few permissions, most notably the ability to
read contacts. With your implementation of widgets, any application
can offer a new widget that, once installed by the user, will silently
use Home’s permissions to achieve whatever it needs. For instance,
a widget could be easily modified to read all the
contacts and upload them silently to a website. At no point the user
will know that the widgets will make use of the “read contacts”
permission.
The second security hole is the ability you give the widgets to spoof
any other app. A widget could for instance find shortcuts on the Home
screen and change their Intent or attach a different click listener to
execute something entirely different. This way, a widget could for
instance execute a fake Email app and grab the user’s password and
emails. A widget could do much more too since they have access to all
the information stored in the Home screen UI.

Open Home's solution:
- Since Open Home is based on the cupcake branch we can port it over and offer a secure widget framework in Open Home
BTW, the price went back down for those who are thinking about getting it:

From what i am reading you DON'T need ahome AND Bettercut. Seems like you can use the Icon Packs with JUST bettercut if you want?
I really enjoy these icon packs, this makes open home my favorite home screen alternitive.
Ok Dharkaron thats what i figured, thanks for the clarification.
