Hm...another feature I would like in this phone is to be able to assign notifications for certain "groups" and not just specific locations.

Example:
I have a grocery list. What store I go to usually depends on where I am and what is planned that day. I would like the "shopping list" to pop up whenever I'm near any grocery store.

Really not a big deal, because I can simply jot it down then read it when I got there, but a feature they should go ahead and add if they're going through the trouble. Looks pretty cool.

What I wonder is with apps like this and Locale wont GPS have to be turned on all the time? Meaning in order to enjoy these apps running in the background you would have to sacrifice battery life.

I think Peeble Box should work for you then. But this would not quite be a shopping list... It is more like a 'scattered' shopping list

Wow i wonder if i can have it set up where the android can bring the groceries to me. lol But for real i think a cool app will be like the Zune has where you can share info between androids like contact lists, appointments, music, groceries, ect.

Example: I have a list of crap i want from the store my girl is going food shopping later i wave my droid over hers n WHAM!!!! we both know what we both want from the store. I also learn what she likes n she learns what i like without even saying a word. Same with locations we like, places to eat we like etc.

It's a location based reminder, but also call blocker and profile changer all in one.
It's all based on the location, but it works without GPS also. You could also send SMS if you enter a location to inform colleagues or friends or the kids that you're coming home.
