New web based Gmail/calendar

Went to www.gmail.com
Installed the new update.

Anything supposed to happen?
My Gmail app looks the same.

I don't have root access or anything, however I did purchase it off ebay so it could've been attempted. Whenever I try to visit www.gmail.com through the browser I get redirected to https://google.com and no page is displayed. Just white, everywhere. I don't get it.

I have exactly the same problem. Anyone have a solution for this?

Still not working for me, when I click the link to upgrade, nothing at all happens, anyone figure this out yet?

When this happened to me, I did a refresh, then went into the settings, found gears, and allowed the connection. Then refreshed again. I can't remember exactly when during that process it was fixed, but it's working now.
