Default New Android App (The vOICe)

Not quite interested but stumbled on it and wanted to share:

The vOICe Android 0.25 Publisher's description

The vOICe Android application translates live views from an Android camera phone into sounds that you hear via the phone's speaker or headset, thus targetting sensory substitution applications for the totally blind, and even synthetic vision. The vOICe uses pitch for height and loudness for brightness in a left to right scan of any view. Includes talking color identifier and talking compass.

You guys are missing another major problem with this. Even if a blind person does get a hold of this app on their G1, how would they use it? The phone is a touch screen! They wouldn't be able to use the phone, lol!

ya the G1 is an extremely advanced piece of equipment. If set to blind mode, the screen will create little bumps where letter are so they can read the brail :P
