Android newbie here. Two of the best features/apps that I had with my Blackberry that I lost when I switched to Android are 1) phone can be turned off at night and it will come back on automatically in the morning when an alarm is set. 2) SocialScope - Facebook and Twitter integrated app.

Are there any Android apps that would be decent replacements for either of those functions?
