Thumbs down Native Music Player Is Driving Me Batty!!

ok, i'm beyond bugged with this thing.

    issues:
1- can't select / disable folders to play music from. the iQuran app has loaded my SD card full of Quranic verses, which is great--y'know--if i want to hear Quranic verses, which i don't when setting my music on "shuffle."
2- there's *no* side tab alphabetical scroll-y thing, like there is in the dialer contacts. do i really want to waste my time scrolling down to "M" or "S" or "Z"? no, i do not. yes, i know i can open the keyboard.
3- can't simply tap on an artist / album that's playing and go to my files by that artist or on that album. but i *can* buy something from Amazon: yay. this is elementary. argh.
4- no "settings"? of any kind? i can't even show remaining play time instead of elapsed play time? but there's a devoted "use as ringtone" button??
5- i'd really like to edit all the id tags for the many, many "unknown artists" in my library. can i do that w/ the music player? no.
6- just to add insult to injury, almost every time i open the music player, a completely different song from what i was last listening to is cued up.

ok, just to be perfectly clear, i don't see why the *native music player* can't be more user-friendly and feature-rich. i know there are 3rd party apps that will do some of the things i mentioned above. i can't believe this wasn't updated by rc33.

thank you in advance for reading this tirade.

but your right the native music player is really poorly done. let's start a petition! or maybe that should be our attempt at learning coding? hahaa that would be interesting.

oh, man. i'd hate to see my attempt at coding a music player. but since google is a large, publicly traded corporation of smart developers who i've learned to expect great things from, i couldn't help but vent about this one. if the battery in my mp3 player didn't need replacing, i probably would've just let it go.
