This app seems like something I'd like to use, but I'm wondering why it needs access to my contacts list?

I just installed this like 5 minutes ago, so I havent played with it yet, but my best guess is - there is a tab called "Loan" and maybe it uses your contact list to populate loaners of your books/movies, etc. faster.

Still have to dig around and see, but thats 1st impression.

Well, I didn't get far... everytime I try to enter a book, it force closes. Not playing nice in the sandbox.

But fiddling around, there is a place to check "loan" under the book/movie/etc tab, and from there it has a drop down with your contacts list, or add a new name.

I also couldnt figure out how to scan upc's... the option was greyed out. Will continue to fiddle.

I'm not positive, but I think you need to also have Barcode Scanner installed also for that to work.

Oh geez, thanks Scot. I'm an idiot... it says that you do have to have a barcode scanner installed... says it right on the market page.

does it have a remoter server or is it loaded on to the phone?

should I wait for a more stable next release?
