Msn Messenger- Error On Edge/3G!! Help Please (Rogers)

I can only use google talk. When I try to login my msn, the G1 always tells me "the phone number cannot be read from my SIM card."
What's wrong with the IM and SIM card?
I can access msn messenger on wifi but not on 3g or in my case Edge?!? I dont understand it. Ive searched the forums and i havent found a real answer or solution. EVERYTHING works except this, gmail, googletalk, web, youtube. Everything except msn via Edge/3G

If everything works why bother with MSN? If you bought it unlocked do you have the correct internet settings for your network? Call them and tell them about it, i`m pretty sure it`s not the phone.

i believe the internet connection is set up right, because everything else works fine

Same problem here on Fido. Can any one else on a different non T-Mobile network provide some input ?

The MSN, Yahoo and AIM IM services are T-Mo specific and only work with the T-Mo network.
