Is there any advantage of using Meebo over the stock Talk app other than you can have multiple IM accounts?

If you are referring to the stock IM app...it uses SMS and will charge you text message usage and Meebo doesn't charge you SMS usage. I was reading today at XDA that someone uploaded a link with a patched stock app that uses data instead of SMS.
