    Default Maps application


    It's just beta, so please, send me bugreports and your proposals

    Futures:
    cache support (you can use maps offilne)
    zoom by double touch
    search places by name
    save map in selected region(for example, you can download all map in 5km from your home)
    bookmarks

    ya is just slang for you, the lazy mans way of saying it.


    ok so i gave it a look, so far i really like it, i really like the slide bar for the radius of the saved maps. i didn't get a chance to look at a saved map yet. i'll do that later though.

    i wish there was a pin or marker for the bookmarked locations. its looking good though.

    I noticed Open Street is licensed under creative commons. Would turn by turn directions be possible there? I know it isn't allowed with Google maps, but It would be nice if we could use it with at least that one map.

    Does anyone else think this app is loading the maps faster than the default map app?

    i thought it was slower but i was on a slower then usual edge network i'll try it on wifi later.

    i just downloaded it and tried it and i give you my word.... if you can get all the bugs out and add additional features i will pay you for it (within reason.)

    EDIT: and where it says "futures" i thought you meant future features... but i think you mean "features" as is what it do right now. very impressive.

    i saw this added in the market today for $9... is there a difference between the one you posted here?
