Live map w accelerometer

You know the commercials where the accelerometer in the phone picks up which street you're on and and where you turn, showing live picture of the street? I don't know how to get there??! I LOVE my g1, but I feel teased on this part..

I've been in every view for the map, & when I go to street view all it does is put a dark blue outline around the streets..

you have to click on the blue area then a bubble will come up, and you click on that bubble and will zoom to street view.

Wow that is unusable. I end up looking at the street or the sky. It's like an over sensitive trackball. There is a very small area that is looking parallel to the ground.

I reloaded the map and now it's cool. It was weird the first time I ran it.

Does it orientate the map in the overhead views as well?

the street view 360 view is data heavy, give it some time to load before you start panning around.

Yea I thought I was going to hurl looking at it. I am on edge (no 3g in Detroit yet)
