In Communist Russia, everyone paid same for all labors, for common work benefit common worker and motherland for all comrades. In America, common man have to steal and charge up credit card because capitalist swine charging too much for virtual keyboard and Tetris knock-off that is forcing quit on level 12 for no reason.

I heard Google was going to require a 24-hour trial period for all paid apps. Does anyone know if this is true? I have no problem paying for great apps, but it does suck when you buy apps that don't work as expected.

I don't know, but that makes me very curious as to how Google is planning on doing the authentication for these applications.

Some of these apps use a lot of resources (minus the coding time/effort even)... Some developers have to host the data on servers that are not "free", so taking this into consideration among other things, I dont see why any1 (whosever) should have a hard time paying for apps just because they have a monthly T-mobile bill... Fine, just pay the bill and have a regular phone that doesnt do this and that...

And for the record, Open Source doesnt mean free, as I can hear someone waiting to make a comeback.

If I wrote an app, it wouldnt be for free, it will cost at least 0.99 just for the heck of it...

1)- Donate: $0.99 or more.... or
2)- Free Basic version and a Pro version that comes with a price tag...

All those developers out there.... go for it

G1 is not a "Free Phone", or a phone for broke people like me...lol

(Sorry if I sound cross, but it's just annoying.... NVM, I'm just pissed this morning)
appeasing the masses... they shoudlnt' have even started giving free phones out, but it brought them more business...

it also brought them all the irresponsible customers

Also when you buy apps, I think I've read somewhere that Google keeps track of you, which they are good at. So if you do a reset, you can re-download/re-install/re-use your already paid for apps.

Is that true or did I just make that up? idk

Ever stood inline at a mobile retailer for over an hour? You witness amazing things. Damage is worse than watching tv.

I think u just made that up... hahaha.

But hopefully one can install it to the SD Card and not have to worry about getting it back after master reset... Also, I think you can always contact the developer for an apk once you bought it... Just like eBay, the developer would probably know who has/hasnt bought/donated...

Google can stay out of this 1, they already have enough on their plate... Maybe work on being Market Police

I just hope some apps are not like 50 dollars or 29.95 for a one year subscription (unless its realllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and I mean reallyyyy worth it). Actually maybe I'm being cheap, I would pay for apps if I had to. Just a really good all in one IM program like beejive would be nice and Microsoft word.

M$ Word?? Windoze users just don't get the concepts of light ( as in lite) or simple ( as in not complicated, easy to use). Microshaft is all about bloat, which is the #1 enemy applications for a highly portable device. M$ Word is far too much of a system hog and the UI would be unusable on a smartphone-size screen. Ditto for Open Office.

Something much lighter on system resources like Abiword but stripped down even more to the bare essentials with a much simplified UI could be good though.
