Default J2ME Midlet App Runner/Emulator Out

Android J2ME MIDP RUNNER (Beta V1.2) is Officially OUT

New J2ME runner(Beta) now released in Android Market, use you G1 to go to Applications/Entertainment to get it !

Please send your feedback to dli@netmite.com

Note for previously installed J2ME Runner, because this version changed signature, so you need to UNINSTALL first before you can INSTALL.

Download Android J2ME Runner (For Android 1.0, G1 or Emulator)

    Browse Android source code online
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    User Guide

1.Download Android SDK and install the SDK 2.Go to the tools directory and run emulator.exe, wait until the emulator is fully loaded.
3.Download andme_signed.zip and save it to tools directory
    4.Run : android-sdk-windows-1.0_r1\android-sdk-windows-1.0_r1\tools >
    adb install andme_signed.zip

    You will see the messages:

    1288 KB/s (0 bytes in 123676.000s)
    pkg: /data/local/tmp/andme_signed.zip
    Success

5.Due to Android Emulator bug, you need to run:
    adb shell chmod 777 /data/dalvik-cache

6.Run the Android webbrowser from the emulator to make sure you see the google.com page

7.Verify if you could connect to www.netmite.com, by click “MENU”, click “Go to URL”

    8.Please input www.netmite.com

9.Go back to home and Click the upper arrow button above the “MENU”, you will see

    10.Click J2ME MIDP Runner

11.Click on the first URL, you will be able to run Opera Mini

12.Click “Ok” on the left bottom side

13.Go back to the Runner and click on the second URL

    14.Click on “MENU”,

    15.and click on “Continue”

16.To play with the program, please don’t use your mouse, use the big button on the emulator

17.Go back to the Runner and click on the third URL

    18.Click on “Start BreakHeart”

19.Go back to the Runner, you will notice that since you have run the programs once, the icon will be loaded to the menu instead of the URL address
    L a
    Logcat file to me
20.To uninstall the program, go back to console
    android-sdk-windows-1.0_r1\android-sdk-windows-1.0_r1\tools>
    adb uninstall com.netmite.andme
    Success

You will see the Runner is not available from the emulator

    Then you could install again
21.If you have questions, please send me the logcat file and I could debug for you.
    Thanks

I installed it then used opera mini, but now there is an opera mini icon under the apps menu on my phone and I can't figure out how to remove it, uninstalling the app did nothing for me

This has such potential! It's not perfect software yet, but I will follow it closely.

That easy just uninstall Opera Mini like a normal app install just look for "Opera Mini" in Manage Application.
