Post Is it worth buying a tablet?

I am considering buying a tablet PC. I already have a laptop. But I still want to check out what all the fuss is about. So should I bother buying a tablet, or not? And yes, should it be Android or Windows or Apple??
    All suggestions are welcome....

    Apple/Android/Windows
okay this is a tough question. Its mostly about ur personal prefrences. Apple ios is more about doing things the way apple wants you to do while Android gives u freedom for customization etc. Windows, as u r already famalier with on ur desktop. Windows 8 can b a good option, second to Android as it is optimized for touch and you may b able to synchronize your data with ur tablet. Yet a big consideration is the app stores. IOS wins owing to its app store.

As far as having tablet is concerned. You might want to have some convertible tablet such as asus that is more handy and also good for work too.

I also have a laptop but it is more convinent having a tablet when you want to take it with you. I prefer the android tablet a friend of mine has the I pad and after he messed with my tablet preffered the android tablet vs his ipad. I have the Acer iconia a500 very good tablet hope this helps you .

Windows has been a trusted brand for over many decades. Samsung can be well judged after its latest news officially announced that Samsung tablets can never be updated is ridiculous. The ipad2 is worth more of reading and playing fun games. its just for children. nothing much can you do anything on the ipad2.
I would rather suggest you to opt for the Nokia Lumia associated with the Windows 7, you can work play enjoy and be connected to a lot many of your e sites at a glance on the home screen, it is a Smartphone cum Tablet.

No, in my opinion. just a waste of money, buy iPad instead. you will get fed up in the long run.

If you just want to try, Android tablet is the best option as it is cheaper in price and better in features.

    Hello dear friends,

Before you buy a tablet you need to consider the following aspects:
    1- Portability:
If you often move and you want a mobile device that can play movies for you, with which you can read documents and books on the go and reply to an email, not more than line or two than the tablet can be a very good option. and certainly better than the smartphone. its handy and will wakeup in a couple of seconds also you wont need to charge it.
    2- Price
If you are concerned about the price then u can opt for android tablets; as today we have very cheap and good quality ICS tablets.
    3- convenient screen size
you have to decide which screen size you want
    4- Requirement/Functionality
finally comes your functionality. if you do not move so often and have some cimouting intensive task, even if you have to type long documents its certainly not possible with a tablet.
