Default Help me get rid of this pleeeease!

New poster here, I've been having an alert pop up every 10 min or so on my phone for the past couple of months. It says, "ESPN Top updat available." When I hit the link it goes nowhere. Does anyone know which program is causing this? Any help is appreciated.

I'd look in your application menu for one named ESPN and remove it. but no I don't know what specific app it is.

Thanks for the reply, but I wish it was that easy. I no longer have any sports apps on my phone. Just can't figure it out.

no. It says it's for Sports News Widget. I never had anything like that on my phone. I don't know what app it's linked to, but I'm thinking I may just do a software update and start from scratch. Sucks tho because I have better cut keys assigned all over the place, and I don't wanna have to do that all over again. Oh well.

Some apps don't appear in the Market when trying to uninstall them. Does anything like that appear in Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications... Anything mentioning ESPN, sports, news, Sports News Widget, etc? If so, select it, and click Uninstall.

Are you rooted? If so, you could manually delete the related APK(s). You can try to find them by dropping into shell, via adb shell or Terminal, and doing a "find / -name *espn" or maybe "find / -name *sports". More likely you'll just have to cd to the system apps directory and look at all their names to figure out which one it is, though.
