Tell me why I just saw a G1 commercial(the first I have ever seen,it was on comedy central during the daily show during the 1:30 am time slot at about 1: 50 am) any ways the girl at the end of the commercial said do we have the same fingerprints?

The commercial is basically telling you that you can use one of the Wikipedia apps to search about fingerprints.

There isn't a fingerprint reader in the phone.

Couldnlt the sensitivity of the touch screen be adapted to somehow read fingerprints? I knw it seems unlikely. And I know this is a crap use of logic because it is concerning a commercial. But every statement in the commerical was followed by showing off a feature of the phone. Like "hey can we get this cheaper somewhere else?" Then it showed the barcode scanner. Or, "where is this street" then it showed google maps. Etc....then seemlessly it went to the girl asking if "we have the same fingerprints" then the commercial ended with out demoing a feature or application like the rest of the commercial had done without deviation.
