    Default Exchange EMAIL app?

Any word on push email from Exchange servers?

I'm currently relying on a rule to forward my mail to a gmail account, but that's not 100% reliable, and not the best solution for a number of other reasons, too.

    Any rumbling out there?

I'm waiting for one as well. Although what I did was went into my gmail account's settings and set it to pull the e-mail from my work account (they have pop enabled). Which will then push down to the phone. I get all of my emails very quickly.

There is a company called Aardvark that is working on a solution, but that probably won't become available until early 2009 (cross your fingers).

What does Exchange do? I keep hearing about it and know nothing about it.

The G1 is my first smartphone.

Exchange is a Microsoft mail server that's implemented in a lot of business organizations. It allows enterprise level mail services and push e-mail to both desktop clients and mobile handsets that support its protocols.

Update : TouchDown has been push enabled for a long time now, just forgot to update this old message. There have been several changes recently such as multiple exchange profiles, HTML email on exchange 2003(beta currently),Tasks

Any idea on calendar? I need a solution to pull exchange mail and outlook exchange calenders to a droid. My boss expects me to make it work. I have his exchange mail pulling through the default other mail app that comes with the phone but I cant figure out how to get the calender app to pull his exchange calender.

Touchdown by Nitrodesk is the best solution I've found. Available in the market. They have good support via email as well.
