Enkin Vs. Sekai Camera

since the enkin app has virtually disappeared, anyone wanna take a jab as to why?

A while back i had seen a new app for the iPhone, which i believe so far, will only be available to jailbroken phones. it's called Sekai Camera.

It seems to have many similar aspects to enkin, but i'd say it's better.
I'd love to hear the reason that enkin has been pulled is so that it's going to be a better app when it hits the market.

I too am very curious as to what could have happened to Enkin. They have not provided any updates since a good 3 or 4 months ago. My guess would be that Google either bought them out or is in the process of buying them out. I think such a program has a lot of potential and Google swallowed it up.

I really hope that they have continued working on this and plan to make it a killer app only available to android.

I think an app like Enkin has promise much beyond simple location tags/navigation.

I think it would have been interesting to have this and to download created tags if youre a tourist so that you can look around and stuff is already tagged for you
