Do apps tell you when they been updated?

Am always checkin the market 5-10 times days, so whenever i see a updated i DL it from there, but let say i miss a upddate one day, when i open up the app. will it automatically tell me there is a new version out?

Some of them tell you when you start the program. An example would be shop savvy. Some will not tell you but you will see the app in the market and it will show it like you dont have it installed but when you try to install it, it will tell you its an update.

yea thats how ive been doing it so far, just always checkin, but for now i only have 30 apps on my phone, i remember most of there names lol

Checking for updates and new apps is the perfect use of my restroom time.

Couldn't they change how this works?? I really don't like how this works. Not to compare, but I like the way the iphone app store does it. I checked your apps let's you know if there is an update, then replaces the app with a new update.

the market should have the same idea, and on top of that, automatically replace the short cuts of the apps you put on your desktop. i hate having to update the new app... then go delete the shortcut, then re-do it on the desktop everytime.

so when you have a shortcut and you update an app, the shortcut isnt updated automatically?
