Download Meebo from the Market and try to log in with the same account(s) that are giving you trouble. What happens?
Just a quick question.
When I'm using the default Instant Messaging programs the only one that seems to work is Gmail.
Once attempting to login to either AIM or Yahoo, I get an error message.
"Unable to sign in to the Yahoo/AIM service. Please try again later. (Detail: Sorry, the phone number cannot be read from your SIM card. Please contact your operator for help.)
Any ideas? I have tried multiple times. I don't really understand the error message either. My phone number? Meh.
I don't use MSN so I didn't even try it.
Anyone else having this problem? I will let you know that it's unlocked and I'm on At&t.
Thanks.

Meebo seems to be working fine. How does this correlate with the default app?
That makes perfect sense.
Right on, just curious.
Any ideas?
I havent used the default IM programs but I've heard they're full of problems and aren't very good. Just download AIMer or meebo.
Well, I'm perfectly comfortable with using Meebo. I actually do like it.
Is it suppose to log me out everytime I hide it? I'll be chatting, then I'll do something else, like check scores, or jump on the internet. Once I come back it asks me to login again. I've just been using AIM.
I'd rather it just keep me logged in unless I decide otherwise.

For some reason the default IM program is GREAT with GChat, but is completely awful with everything else. I'd suggest Meebo as well for all things not GChat.
The default IM versions of AIM, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger are specific to T-Mobile, so will only work on the T-Mobile network or via WiFi.
