i just the bought the paid version. still really slow load up after i opened it many times. ill keep it though. i hope this will get fixed, i really like the ui
We are working on adding new ways to customize the layout for future releases. We are also working on making an enhanced dialer.
As far as 1.5 / Cupcake support, we have the Android 1.5 SDK and have been looking into it. The SDK is a pre-release / test release right now. Once the 1.5 final release is available we will support that as well.

Please send an email to Droidmatic.Support@gmail.com so we can figure out what the problem is and help get it running better. In some cases there are problems with a users phone but many reports of lag or load issues we have not been able to track down because we don't get enough information.
How many contacts do you have (an estimate is ok. 20? 50? 100? 500?)? How many of those contacts have photos? Do you have any other apps that replace default functionality on the phone (for example, Chomp SMS to replace SMS messaging?)? If you restart the phone do you still have load or lag issues?
Anyone that has any problems please send us an email and we will either try to help figure out what your specific problem is or figure out if our code for Contacts Blast has a problem somewhere that we can fix.
We are already working on a new version that should be out in a few weeks and are constantly trying to improve the code and performance.
Thanks for your support and I'm glad you enjoy Contacts Blast!

Using: Samsung Galaxy S 4g on T-Mobile. Firmware 2.2.1
So I installed and I have 1 question and one request:
Question: What advantage do I get with going with the paid app vs the free app. Don't get me wrong, I am planning to purchase it either way but it does not state what you get for the money.
Request: Can we put an option to view contact detail such as physical address?
Thanks and this is a good app..keep up the good work.

All of the features listed in the original post are available in the Lite version. Certain advanced features in the full version have been disabled in the lite version. These are mainly related to using, creating, customizing and managing your custom groups. We also limit the number of times you can use some of the powerful new features just released in the full 1.4 version such as SMS Blast (send an SMS message to an entire group) and Email Blast (email an entire group). The Speed Dial grid screen is also limited. Once the clock hits midnight it will let you use those special features again (up to your daily limit).
I should mention that we just released Contacts Blast 1.5 (and CB Lite 1.1) over the weekend which gives both a big speed enhancement when starting up the app (some people report load times that were 20+ seconds in the older version now taking 1-2 seconds to startup).
All of the core phone functionality such as viewing the main phone groups (favorites, recents, all contacts, etc.), making calls, browsing through contacts, using voice mail, using the dial pad, and so on are fully enabled and have no restrictions. We also provided all of the customization options for changing how your screen looks, including layout styles and color picker.
We are working on more new features and will generally put all the enhancements in the full version.
This is a request I have seen before and that we are considering. We have discussed making it possible to view address information and possibly allowing you to easily view a map of the address with Google Maps. This may be available in a future release. We are also looking into some functionality to get directions to your contact from your current location based on GPS. We'll have to see what we can do.Request: Can we put an option to view contact detail such as physical address?
At the very least we are planning on making addresses viewable and making it easy to view the address on a map.
Thanks and enjoy! Thanks and this is a good app..keep up the good work.

i'm trying to find a app that will let me search my contacts by first and or last name (or any letter combination in the name)
some of my GMS SIM contact are "peter pumpkin home" (back in GMS days there was only name and number- no first /last / email/ etc
and now on android its all sorted under "home" ... great
when i try to look for " peter pumpkin"
i want to find him when tying peter or pumpkin.
optimally even if i type "umpkin"
shouldnt be too hart... winamp had that function years ago... but never seen it since...
i tried the LITE version, but din't work.
same as all other search conact.. only by peter not by pumpkin
(or in this case sorted by "home")
too bad.
any suggestions for an app that really has an "intelligent" search?
