After googling and going from forum to forum.....long story short,

I've found a Vietnamese Developer who has such an App and he emailed it to me. It works so far after texting myself but ill have my friend text me and see if it really works. The app is not available in the market. I'll ask him if I could share the link with others.

Here is the Devs blog its in Vietnamese so I used Google to translate. The link on his blog is for the trial version which no longer works so don't bother downloading.

I haven't told you one thing:
This app, in fact, clears the messages that come from the blocked numbers. So you should turn off notification form the app "Messaging" first. My app will help notifying.

In Chomp SMS you can blacklist numbers as well. Just long press it comes up as an option.

My new application blocks text messages and can even send an automatic custom reply to the sender asking them to stop texting you.
