Does anyone know of an app that would simply point you in the direction of a lat/long that is entered, something similar to a compass, but instead of always pointing north the needle will point toward the information entered?
I've been searching for a couple of days now and all I can find are navigation apps, and the dish finder app keeps coming up no matter what I try in the search as well
Perhaps something like Radar? I've used GeoBeagle: http://code.google.com/p/geobeagle/
for Geocaching and that's purely lat/long based.
Combination of Radar and Location Log applications should do the trick. You need to save the lat/log as a new location first in Location Log, but from then on, you can either view a saved location in Maps or find a bearing/distance in Radar.

I'll check out radar, in the meantime I found an app called maverick, it pretty well does what I am looking for but has more features than I need
Thanks
Maverick looks very full featured, and has the size to match. My solution is much more lightweight, especially as the Radar app is really a helper application, you can not run it directly, other applications can call the application with a lat/long and Radar app will dynamically display the range and direction from current GPS location to that lat/long.
Applications like Location Log & Panoramio use Radar.

Radar and Location Log where exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
