anyone, thoughts?
I was wondering whether there's any good Universal Remote or HA software being developed in the Android ecosystem?
Does anyone know of anything under way or a related Linux project that could be re-adapted for Android?
Cheers
HA = Home Automation

It would depend more on the phone running android, since most universal remotes still use IR as their medium for controlling devices. I haven't seen anything more than gmote, which is not too bad for controlling audio/video stored on a computer.
T-Mobile myTouch 3G
ROM: CyanogenMod-4.1.11.1
SD: 4GB stock SDHC | 64MB swap | 512MB ext4
Oh yeah that's a given...
I haven't been able to find a hardware base that's at feature parity with some of the top end UR's.
But anything with IR's a good start & I've got that; Axim X50V, almost fully ported.
gmote's okay but it's not really UR software, more just a media browser etc...

I have something roughly like this visualised... (see attached txt file)
I have an old Axim X50v which android is being ported to atm...
But progress is slow so I may have to find a better supported device soon.
Any thoughts/ideas/advice greatly appreciated!
