I'm assuming this is some kind of project for you guys, so you might want to go with unconventional, but still useful, programs. how about a program that automatically connects to a specific connection as soon as it is available, and through this connection starts up certain programs and what not.

For example, you come home, and as soon as your home wi-fi is detected, your phone connects to your computer and starts the browser up, as well as windows media player with a certain playlist.

You could make it so that if you spend so much time at one location, when you return home a certain page is loaded, as well as certain tunes. If you aren't gone for more than 30 minutes, it doesn't activate.
