Alarm clock when phone is off

Is there a way i can possibly get my phone alarm to ring when the phone is off?

ive tested the android system and it doesnt work. i am now rooted but not sure if it works on the cyanogen v4.0.4 rom as a modified feature or anything like that.

alternatively, are there any available apps that can do this for me?

Do you mean while the phone is in sleep mode, or totally powered off?

yeah thats what i was thinking

cuz i think anything would be hard to achieve if the phone is completely off

when the phone is turned off. my older phone's alarm used to ring when it was switched off.

by sleep mode, do you mean when i click the "end call" button once?

Most older style phones had an alarm that would turn on when the phone was completely powered off as long as there was some battery power. Not sure if it is hardware or software based but I wish I had it on my phone also...

that's what im thinking.

i just hope future releases allow for the alarm to ring. it's a lot more convenient to have your phone off at night but still have your alarm ring when you need it to.
