Default aHome Lite 1.0 (Home Screen App)

    Developer - mAPPn, Inc.

    aHome
dramatically improves the standard Gphone user interface as you expect most!

    Features:

    • · Supports up to 10 screens
      · aHome iPhone Theme is in the Market now
      · Changeable themes (currently iphone theme only)
      · New widgets: Weather and Digital clock (Drag + Delete also)
      · 4 dock icon (which will appear on every screen just like the iPhone)
      · App can be set as DEFAULT home screen when pressing the home button
      · Auto-rotate without the need for root access! (Desktop only)

    Screenshots:

    Review:

This is the "Lite" version aka Free version which is pretty good, haven't found too many bugs yet if i do i will post, but overall i like having the screen and the 4 dock icon to appear on every screen, and the functionality of having all your apps on your home screen and allowed up to 10 screens is pretty neat, The fact that this looks EXACTLY like the iphone isn't gonna thrill android fans about the whole iphone look.

    Pros:

    • The widgets, is a +1 in my book, having the weather widget on my desktop its definitely a plus, Also the devs will be releasing the source code for other devs to create other widgets for this wonderful amazing app.

    • Themes: This is currently running on the iPhone them, but the dev says there will be more themes available, so what does that mean? We can all have THEMES finally, without having to ROOT our phone isn't that great. :]

    Cons:

    • The whole iphone look theme.

    • Can't change icons for each of the app currently I don't think so.

No app tab, so you can quickly access your app you want instead of scrolling thru 5-10 screens of apps -1 ehhh :[

Dang. I purchased dxTop and now this. It's going to be hard to know which to stick with. And we may have a divide in widget development now,

It depends. I never wanted an iphone. The multi screen thing is just the app drawer turned into to multiple screens. Dxtop is way better. If you always wanted an iphone, then get this app. If always wanted a gphone, get dxtop. To each their own.

Well, I tried aHome and I don't like it. All you icons are on the desktop with no order at all. Just all mixed up. Very annoying. Maybe it was alphabetical but they need to sort by type, that's the only usefull way.

yea this app is not bad at all, i always want to get rip off that tab bar so hehe :P but what im saying is they did get rip off the tab bar. But they u shud leave the pull up still.
Like if u hold ur finger from the bottom up (pulling up the tab), it still going up ^^ it just u wont see the tab bar anymore. that will be perfect.
And the suck thing is Bettercut doesnt work with this

Pro: weather and time +1 for both

Con: its not as smooth as the native home screen, I don't really need/want every app on my home screen or to make folders and short cuts. the background doesn't slide with your screens, screens only go one direction.

    what i'd like to see?
the ability to set how many home screens you want manually
screens to be blank, allowing you to add shortcuts manually, instead of just throwing all of your apps out there automatically.
    and more widgets.

other than that, sweet idea, i like it..
but then again, i don't use up the space given on the native home screen
