Default aHome - Dxtop - Open Home

I making this poll for the people who confusing what app they really think is the best. So let Vote! Population win!

    First is gonna be me.
i vote for aHome! Been use it for a while and alot of updates came out which made this app perfect (I was using the lite one for free but now i just bought it because i think it worth 3 dollars)

    Pros:
    - Up to 10 Screen!
    - There is a dock for 4 app, it always on in everyscreen. Enable/Disable the dock manually
    - New Widget (weather and digital clock)
    - Third party widget
    - Able change icon app without root
    - Added tab bar (app drawer) back so that why it perfect
    - Added tab bar for widget ( only 2 more wedget came out so far)
    - Added some more option (take a look at the pics)

    Cons:
    - Doesnt work with bettercut T_T
    - Unable to change theme color of the Widget (i hate that baby blue!)
    - It a little laggy now ( i think)

I was using dxTop since it came out. I loved the extra tab that showed the recently used tab. Then i came across aHome and was converted. I think the two stock widgets it came with won me over plus the side screens with the apps was nice too.
Also sometimes the weather widget fails to get weather info.

One question though how did you get the program tab to come up?

Press the blue search. It in the middle of the dock and the app. The little blue circle on the left side

And yea the weather doesnt failed to get info sometime even though he already fixed is so it failed rarely. Just delete the widget and open it again, it will be fine

Oh cool....I liked aHome the most when I first tried them the other day but in the end I also discarded it because the 10 screen i-phone-style application dump was awful and thinking if I could have 10 horizontal screens plus the dock and app drawer I'd be fairly satisfied.

    And here we are.

The Widget Drawer is cute but completely pointless since you can still long-press to add widgets. If it were a "dashboard" type screen where you could hide widgets and bring them up when you want to see them, that would be useful.

I also wish it still used the tab for the app drawer, as it seems a little counter-intuitive.

I wish I could make the digital clock widget show date only since there is an unremovable clock in the task bar. I hate redundant items on my screen.

I have checked out all 3. The only one I personally cared for is Open Home. And yesterday the dev solved a problem -- it won't work with AnyCut, so he came out with AnyCut - Open Home. The only drawback I found to it is that you lose the voice search on Google, but perhaps the dev will fix that in a future update?

I uninstalled it for now, only because I need more time to configure all my home screen icons and folders with ap icons in them -- it doesn't import those from your old home screens, unfortunately. I may download it again later when i have more time to configure it. IMHO, it's worth a look.

Hehe I tied it up . Go Open Home! I prefer Open Home because BetterCut is a must for me and its the only the desktop app that it works with. Plus I've always wanted the "Fade to Blue" theme, though the Open Home one does not have the icons or wallpaper. I didnt try out DxTop but I did try aHome. Sorry but aHome was just way to much for me. I deleted my contacts shortcut on accident and it was a chore to get it back on my desktop. The weather widget was a nice touch though

On another note I think its awesome that these three desktop apps have came out. The competition will hopefully push the devs to continually make theirs better

I'm using aHome... I wish they released how to make your own theme and maybe bettercut support

If someone would come with a palm pre "cards" thing that would be awesome!

Riddle me this... if you can't stand having icons on the "desktop" (home screen), do ANY of these offer anything for me?

I simply can't stand icons scattered all over the place. Do any of them bring any other features to the table?

    Thanks.
