Hey guys, I dont know if this has been posted or not but I managed to fix alot of the common hardware problems with the G1. Its an easy DIY. It is best to use something thin that can compress. I used some leftover circular pieces from my invisible shield.
DISCLAIMER: I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU SOMEHOW BREAK YOUR PHONE DURING THIS DIY. ![]() 1. Take two of the little circles. Peel both of the paper and stack one perfectly on top of the other. Your gonna have to do this part twice for each side. 2. Slide one stack of circles in between the screen and the keyboard on the lower right hand side and repeat for the upper right hand side. Its easier if you slide open the phone. ![]() 3. The circles should be positioned roughly around here... ![]() 4. Once positioned, press down lightly on the upper and lower right hand side of the screen. 5. Voila your done!!!! I am not saying that this is a guaranteed fix for all four problems but it worked for my phone. Last edited by dtchui; 10-28-2008 at 09:18 PM. |
